Trezor Suite organizes your funds into individual accounts for each coin. Every account has its own address history, balance, and transaction log, making it straightforward to separate funds by purpose — for example, keeping savings in one Bitcoin account and spending money in another. You can create as many accounts as you need, and all of them remain protected by your single Trezor device.

Account Types

The account types available to you depend on which coin you are using. Bitcoin supports four account types, each corresponding to a different address format and derivation standard:
Use Native SegWit (Bech32) for Bitcoin accounts to benefit from lower transaction fees. The smaller transaction size that SegWit enables results in reduced network fees compared to Legacy and SegWit (P2SH) formats.
Ethereum uses a single account type. All ERC-20 tokens you hold share the same Ethereum account and address — there is no need to create separate accounts for individual tokens.

Adding an Account

You can add multiple accounts for the same coin at any time directly from the Trezor Suite sidebar.
1

Select the coin

Click the coin you want to add an account for in the left sidebar of Trezor Suite.
2

Open the add account dialog

Click Add account near the top of the account list for that coin.
3

Choose your account type

Select the account type you want — for example, Native SegWit or Taproot for Bitcoin. Trezor Suite shows you a preview of the derivation path and address format.
4

Confirm on your device

Follow the on-screen prompt and confirm the action on your Trezor hardware device to finalize the new account.
Each additional account uses the same seed phrase — your keys never change. You can re-add any account at any time simply by repeating the steps above. If you ever restore your wallet from your seed, all accounts are recoverable.

Hiding and Showing Accounts

Over time you may accumulate accounts you no longer actively use. Trezor Suite lets you hide any account from the sidebar to keep your workspace tidy without deleting it. To hide an account, open the account, click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, and select Hide account. The account is removed from the sidebar view but remains fully intact on the blockchain. To show it again, go to Settings → Wallet and toggle the hidden account back on from the list of all discovered accounts.

Account Labels

Every account in Trezor Suite can be given a custom label so you can identify it at a glance. To rename an account, open it, click the pencil icon next to the account name at the top of the page, type your new label, and press Enter to save. Good labels make multi-account setups much easier to navigate. Common examples include names like “Long-term savings”, “Daily spending”, or “DCA stack”.
There is no hard limit on the number of accounts you can create. However, Trezor Suite follows the BIP44 account discovery rule: it will only display an additional empty account once the previous account has at least one transaction in its history. This prevents gaps in derivation that would make account recovery unreliable. In practice, you can have as many accounts as you need as long as each one has been used at least once.
Yes. Your 12- or 24-word recovery seed backs up every coin, every account type, and every account index across your entire Trezor wallet. A single seed phrase is all you need to restore your complete portfolio on a new or replacement device. You do not need separate backups for individual accounts or coins.
